Our story all began with a challenge. We saw the gap between the classroom and the workplace and wanted to provide a solution.
The ACME Network, a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization, has been pioneering inter-active online and remote since its inception in 1996. ACME brings the workplace - its world-class experts, standards and practices - into the educational environment
Through professional and peer critique of their projects, students not only learn state-of-the-art industry standards, skills and practices, but also develop the professional behaviors and capacity necessary to succeed in any job setting.

What makes us different?
ACME creates a like-minded culture of creative enterprise in which each participant is both a learner and a mentor, and everyone has access to all community exchanges. Industry involvement is ongoing, centered on student work, relevant and measurable. The “Pros” establish the standards, work methods, behaviors, principles, curricula, and feedback protocols.
ACME’s online platform supports the goals of building 21st century workplace skills through industry aligned real world projects, authentic assessment, project-based mentoring and virtual internships.

ACME’s “Pay It Forward” approach sets it apart from other mentoring programs. In addition to doing good work, students must offer constructive, technical feedback to fellow members in order to earn access to critiques from professionals and higher level peers. As a result, they become invested in one another’s success.
Because students rely on industry specific principles to communicate professionally, they learn both self discipline and social responsibility. The entire community benefits from this approach.
